In late 2014, Tiverton Cares raised money and collected supplies in support of local infectious disease doctor Timothy Flanigan’s life-saving trip to Liberia in Africa in the midst of the Ebola epidemic. Dr. Flanigan’s trip, and shipment of supplies, was organized through the Bernardine Franciscan Sisters.
All told, Tiverton Cares raised a little over $4,000 in donations and supplies, including from multiple Home Depot and Lowes stores.
